The bike was built for a specific class in NHRA ProStar, the Super Street class.
Rules require a DOT approved tire, among other things.

Thanks for the info. Do they really make some of the bikes do a 10 mile road course, or is that a just in case someone is cheating situation?

And now that I see all of the restrictions, that bike is even more insane to go 8.51 in the 1/4.

Why yes they do... and they tend to be stickers to the rules.
Last week we got DQ'd in the semi-finals for a seat (or lack there-of)

As much as I love my 10, and know it is kick azzzz, I would never put it against Big Red..... My 10's ego would be shattered....
